Position Overview
ION is looking for a detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to strengthen our security framework. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents while ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Incident Response: Detect, monitor, and address security alerts and incidents promptly.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to uncover weaknesses.
- Security Audits: Perform regular security audits and risk assessments to maintain robust defense mechanisms.
- Incident Analysis: Investigate security breaches, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
- Vulnerability Remediation: Prioritize and coordinate the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Technology Configuration: Manage and maintain tools like SIEM, endpoint security, and intrusion detection systems, including scripting and automation.
- Policy Development: Establish and refine security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Compliance Assurance: Review systems to ensure compliance with ION standards, client requirements, and industry regulations.
- Collaboration & Training: Work with engineering teams to integrate security measures into products and provide training on best practices.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest security trends, technologies, and threats.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed reports on security incidents and mitigation strategies.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a focus on Information Security.
- Experience: 3+ years as a Security Analyst or a similar role.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of security protocols, systems, and methodologies.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in scripting/programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Tool Familiarity: Experience with tools like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with standards like GDPR and ISO 27001.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar credentials are a plus.
