About the Role
We are seeking skilled professionals to join our innovative team working on cutting-edge Electric Vehicle (EV) technologies. As part of the largest automotive industry, you will contribute to transforming mobility through groundbreaking engine systems and performance simulations.
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Simulate and analyze the implications of engine component/system/layout changes on engine performance, including WOT Torque, BSFC, and transient performance.
- Develop expertise in alternate fuels modeling such as CNG, DI CNG, E85, etc.
- Publish engine performance simulation reports and assist in setting performance targets for torque and power.
- Propose new technologies and simulation methods to enhance performance, reduce costs, and resolve engineering concerns.
- Analyze engine test data and identify causes for deviations between predicted and tested performance.
- Evaluate and implement new methods for engine performance simulation (1-D) as part of capability development.
- Develop predictive combustion models, engine part-throttle modeling, and emissions predictions.
- Utilize MATLAB Simulink for calculations as required.
- Gain knowledge of diesel and gasoline after-treatment systems modeling and operations.
- Understand and apply concepts related to engine combustion systems and emissions modeling.
Software Knowledge
- GT Suite
- AVL Boost
- CFD Tools (e.g., AVL Fire, Converge)
- MATLAB
Qualifications
BE or ME in relevant engineering disciplines.
General Requirements
- Excellent analytical ability.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Collaborative team player with a passion for execution excellence.
- Self-motivated and fast learner.
- Sound knowledge of internal combustion engine thermodynamics.
